About Me
I am a colorado native who grew up in the mountains exploring flora and fauna with my family. My mother was a naturalist with a keen eye for birds and a love of the natural beauty and benefits of plants, which she passed onto me. I took this love a step further and studied the spriritual, emotional and the traditional uses of plants which i infuse into golden colorado raw honey.
A native of Colorado and a lover of all things natural. I began this journey to create these sacred blends as a child hiking with my mother and father in the beauty of the R0cky Mountains. My mother, a nurse by training and a healer by soul, was a gifted naturalist that could tell you about a flower from a petal and a bird from its call. My father, a physician and an transplanted mountain man shared my mother’s gifts of healing arts, love of the outdoors, and creativity as he was an accomplished photographer. They loved their garden, their plants, their beautiful naturescapes. They shared that reverence for nature with me. Being stewards of the land deeply resonated with their souls as it does with mine.
I am blessed to share these gifts with you. I share as well, my own healing knowledge, as I continue to grow and learn about the spiritual, emotional, and medicinal benefits of our natural botanicals, herbs, plants, and of course, Nature’s perfect food: the gift of Bee Gods and Goddesses- HONEY.
My mother’s nickname for me as a child was Sweetness and Light, hence the name of my company. The name honors the significance of my childhood and the wisdom my parents shared with me.
